I think you could add Nolan's version of The Odyssey to the line up of stories here. I still need to re-watch Nosferatu with the lens you provided (Ellen as the failed-Christ type, rather than Thomas), but I took that framework to see The Odyssey and I ended up liking the movie more than I expected. Ellen types in the vein of Samson well. I think Nolan's Odysseus types very closely alongside Jonah.
